What We Believe

Since it is our mission to share the Gospel unto Salvation, we have put special emphasis on our belief concerning Salvation which we share with you first in the list of topics under "What WE Believe".

salvation

Salvation is a reflection of God's love for you and me (a). It is God's plan to reconcile man to himself through the death, burial, and resurrection of his only begotten son, Jesus Christ (b), who is the way, the truth, and the life and no man comes to God the Father, except through him (c). Salvation is a supernatural gift from God for we are saved by grace through faith and not of works lest any man should boast (d). Salvation is a rebirth performed only by God through his Spirit (e) which occurs as a personal encounter with Jesus Christ (f). Where we confess with our mouth and believe in our the Lord Jesus and believe that God raised him from the dead (g). We then die to sin becoming a new creature (h) and are led by the Holy Spirit to engage daily in a war to walk after the spirit and not after the flesh (i).

a-John 3:16; b- II Cor. 5:19; c- John 14:6; d- Eph. 2:8-9; e- John 3:5; f- Acts 9:3-6; g- Rom. 10:9-10; h- II Cor. 5:17; i- Gal. 5:17-18

Discipleship

Discipleship is one of our chief directives as believers (Matthew 28:19-20), for the Word says “Go ye, therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost”. Discipleship is the process of following Christ to become more like Him. Subsequent to making or becoming new converts, Christians are always, by design, making disciples and being discipled by those more spiritually mature than themselves (II Timothy 2:2).

As disciples, we learn to recognize Jesus Christ as Lord and seek to put Him first in every aspect and endeavor of our lives (Matthew 4:19). We are empowered to become disciples through Jesus Christ, who is constantly interceding on our behalf, and through faith, whereby we choose to live a life of holiness unto the Lord. Discipleship teaches us how to live out our salvation by walking in the Spirit and not in the flesh (Galatians 5:16-26)

Through discipleship, we teach others to follow the precepts of God’s Word (the Holy Bible) as a roadmap (Psalm 37:23). Discipleship is a "sister" of Stewardship in that one must acknowledge that everything belongs to God, especially “we” ourselves (Luke 14:33). The maturity of a disciple can be measured by the fruit one bears (John 15:8). This fruit is many times expressed by our love for one another (John 13:35). But it is also joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23), which are attributes of love.

Further, we prove that we are His disciples by our adherence to the Word of God (John 8:31). Discipleship is an individual mandate from God which cannot be fulfilled in the life of a believer without personal consent (Luke 14:27). And, it is a journey where Jesus is our greatest example. We become followers of Jesus Christ, not to escape the Cross, but to take up our own Cross as well, and live a Cross-Centered Life as Jesus did, for "no disciple is above his teacher, nor a servant above his master" (Matthew 10:24).

While Discipleship is an individual mandate, it is accomplished through the great commission to every believer. We are to make disciples by walking with new believers, showing them the way as we are shown the way by Christ through the Holy Spirit (John 14:6).

We never stop learning how to be more like Jesus. So, it is a lifetime of leading, teaching, and growing in the ways of the Lord. Discipleship is carried out not just in word, but in deed, as we become living epistles for men to read and follow (II Corinthians 3:2). The essence of discipleship can be seen in 2 Timothy 2:1-2, where the Bible says “You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.”

Finally, Discipleship is a lifestyle of spreading the doctrine of Jesus Christ. We ourselves are committed to this lifestyle and to help others to live it as well. Phil 1:6, John 8:31, 15:8-9. NOW TAKE UP YOUR CROSS AND FOLLOW JESUS CHRIST!!!

The Scriptures

We believe that the Holy Bible is divinely inspired.  It was written by men but is the Word of God.  It shall remain until the end of the world.

The True God

We believe there is one God.  Maker and ruler of heaven and earth.  He exists in three persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  They are equal and harmonious but have distinct functions.

Justification

We believe in the pardon of sin and the surety of eternal life.

Regeneration

We believe that in order to be saved, a sinner must be born again.  We believe the Holy Spirit regenerates the sinner to born into a new life.

Grace

We believe we are saved by grace through faith and that we humbly submit to the sovereign work of grace.

Sanctification

We believe that a second work of grace is Sanctification, whereby we continue on in denying ourselves daily and become consistent in the lifestyle of holiness.

The Church

We believe that the church is God’s institution ordained on Earth to be the hub of Christian evangelism, life, and discipleship.  We believe the church is where the earthly ranks of Biblical Offices are ordained to administrate the work of rightly dividing the Word of God for the purpose of advancing the Kingdom.

stewardship

Stewardship is the management of all the resources God has entrusted us with.  We, therefore, believe that everything belongs to God. Stewardship involves the management of more than just money (Acts 3:6), but includes the increase of our faith and growth in Jesus Christ, time, talent, treasure, and other resources. However, we are most careful that our money is put in proper perspective and not worshipped (Matthew 6:24). We give to Kingdom Work according to the principles set forth in the word of God. We acknowledge that giving is sacrificial and not a religious act (1 Kings 17: 8- 16). We further acknowledge that it takes faith to give. So we lean on Psalms 16:5 which encourages us, “Oh Lord you are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; you maintain my lot.” Our stewardship is then a reflection of our love for God and a response to his love for us, which makes giving an act of worship (2 Corinthians 9:6-8). We participate in ministry as we give out of a desire to advance God’s Kingdom. We have faith to give based on his promises (Matthew 6:26-33 ; Malachi 3: 8). We believe that the tithe is an Old Testament biblical principle that is profitable for instruction on giving for the church today. It is confirmed as a principal for the church in 1Corinthians 16:2. Finally stewardship is a Kingdom call for every believer! (2 Corinthians 9 :10; Luke 21: 1-4).

Ordinances

We believe the Bible orders us to promote baptism as complete immersion in water to show the world that we are buried with Christ and numbered with the believers.  We believe subsequently, that the Bible orders us to observe the Lord's Supper, where we break and eat the bread, and drink the wine to remember the death of Christ until He comes again.  Self- examination is a prerequisite to this ordinance.

Government

We believe that the governmental powers that be are ordained of God.  We believe that we petition God for and participate in Government and governmental processes to ensure the righteous salt of the Earth and the bright Light of the World is at work in Government.

End Times

We believe that every day we are closer to the end of the world.  We believe Christ will come on the clouds and raise the dead and institute judgement where we who are the righteousness of God in Christ (Saved) will be ushered into our eternal heavenly homes and those who are declared wicked will be punished in everlasting Hell Fire.
